Dedication to horses

We all want to enjoy a life of strength and flexibility — free from pain. Anyone who has woken up stiff and out of alignment knows how quickly discomfort can diminish both productivity and joy, turning simple tasks into taxing ones. For our equine partners, it is no different. A horse that feels supple, balanced, and comfortable moves with willingness and expression. A horse that feels sore or restricted cannot fully thrive.

While we can’t always know exactly what our horses are thinking, we can understand that the pressures of training, competition, travel, and even daily life can create tension, soreness, compensatory patterns, and sometimes illness — just as they do for us.

My goal is to minimize discomfort, alleviate soreness, soften stress points, support prevention, and ultimately optimize performance and longevity.

As a lifelong equestrian and dedicated caregiver, I have seen firsthand how challenging it can be to keep horses happy, supple, and performing at their best. There are obstacles around every corner. Over the years, I have embraced a comprehensive approach to managing those challenges — combining proper nutrition, correct fitness programs, and veterinary care with supportive modalities such as massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, PEMF, craniosacral therapy, light therapy, and homeopathy. When integrated thoughtfully, these tools significantly improve a horse’s ability to maintain balance and resilience.

Royal Equine Wellness is dedicated to supporting you and your horse’s comfort and performance through advanced modalities including massage, PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy), Light Therapy and KT Taping — helping optimize well-being so your horse can move, perform, and live with greater ease.

*Sessions are available for people and your small animal friends as well.

About Tobi

Since the age of seven — when that first pony captured her heart in a backyard near her childhood home in Washington State — Tobi has been devoted to horses. From that moment on, she spent much of her free time in the saddle, steadily building a life rooted in horsemanship.

Over the years, she gained extensive hands-on experience throughout the equine industry, serving as a groom, working student, barn assistant, barn manager, veterinary assistant, and surgical unit assistant. Her early ambition was to become a large animal veterinarian. However, her intellectual curiosity led her deeper into the science behind physiology, shifting her focus to Molecular Biology to better understand cellular pathways and their physical effects on the body.

In 2007, she began research in the Molecular Biology PhD program at Colorado State University. After becoming pregnant with her first child in 2009, she chose to complete her Master of Science degree instead. Her graduate studies focused on hypoxic tissues and the enzymatic pathways contributing to smooth and skeletal muscle fatigue at altitude — an experience that profoundly shaped her understanding of performance, stress, and recovery.

While deeply grounded in science, Tobi has always been drawn to natural healing modalities and holistic living. She has a comprehensive background in fitness, is a Reiki Master and homeopathic practitioner, and is the former owner of an award-winning yoga studio. Today, she integrates her scientific training, hands-on equine experience, and holistic expertise to support horses through modalities such as PEMF (Magnawave), light therapy, homeopathy, massage, and biomechanics.

Now based in Aiken, South Carolina, Tobi lives with her two daughters, four horses, a dog, and a cat. Animals are her deepest passion, and she considers it both an honor and a privilege to help them heal, perform, and live their best lives.
