About Tobi
Since the age of seven, when that first pony touched her heart in a backyard near her childhood home in Washington State, Tobi has been working with horses. Since then she has spent much of her free time in the saddle. During her journey she also gained experiences working in the equine industry including groom, working student, barn assistant, barn manager, working student, veterinarian assistant, surgical unit assistant. Originally, becoming a large animal veterinarian was the goal, but she turned her attention to Molecular Biology to focus on cellular pathways and the physical affects of those pathways.
In 2007, she began her research in the Molecular Biology PhD program at Colorado State University. Alternately, she finished with her Masters of Science after becoming pregnant with her first child in 2009. Her studies focused on hypoxic tissues and the enzymatic pathways that led to both smooth and rough muscle fatigue at altitude.
She was heavily invested in science, but has also always been drawn to natural healing modalities and healthy living. She has a full background in fitness as well as being a Reiki Master, homeopathic practitioner and the former owner of an award winning yoga studio. Now she combines all of her knowledge and experiences from her life, education and life path into caring for horses through natural modalities, such as, magnawave, light therapy, homeopathy, massage, and biomechanics.
Tobi now live’s in North Salem with her husband, two daughters, dog, cat, rabbit, two guinea pigs and three horses. “Animals are her deep passion and she is honored and blessed to work with them, helping them to heal and live their best lives."
