Discover the transformative power of MagnaWave therapy for your horse's health! Whether managing arthritis, colic, or spinal issues, these guidelines offer tailored treatments to help your equine companion thrive.

Anhidrosis

20 minute session addressing areas that sweat the most 2 times per week until results are seen. Maintenance regime may be needed after.

Arthritis

Address the area of the arthritis for 10 minutes, then 2-3 minutes above and below area. Chronic conditions should be addressed 2-3 times per week and full body at least once per week.

Ataxia Wobbler

MagnaWave may be able to help with the inflammatory factor of this condition around the vertebrae, an “outpouching” of the joint capsule into the canal squeezing the spinal cord, or the spinal cord becoming inflamed (working closely with the vet in these circumstances is important). Address the whole body, focusing on spinal column but mainly the cervical area 3-5 minutes each at least once per week in conjunction with veterinary recommendations as well.

Bleeder Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage

Address regularly and before expected stress. Using in conjunction with other breathing therapies are very complimentary to the process.

Broken Bone or Fracture

Consult with the veterinarian immediately in these circumstances. Wait 10 -14 days after the break to allow the bone to begin healing from the inside out (homeopathy can aid in this process). Use PEMF as often as possible, 1x a day or a few times per week 10 minutes per session and 5 minutes above and below. A full body session is important once per week. Follow up x-rays are important to monitor healing progress.

Capped Elbow Olecranon Bursitis Shoe Boil

Address the whole body concentrating on the elbow for an additional 6-8 minutes as often as possible until function improves.

Capped Hocks Bursitis

Address the whole body concentrating on the hock at the highest tolerable setting for 6-8 minutes as often as possible until function improves.

Carpal Knee Pain or Arthritis

Using highest tolerable setting at the knee for 6-8 minutes. Use different attachments to change the direction of the signal. Treat up to 2x’s per day with at least 6 hours in between sessions.. Address the full body at least once a week.

Cellulitis

Also known septic cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the soft connective tissues under the skin. It can occur but is often in the hind legs. It typically starts with sudden swelling that is warm and painful to touch. As the infection spreads the horse can develop a fever. Address the full body while also concentrating on above and below areas of indication as often as possible until function improves. treatment can be given 2xs in one day at least 6 hours apart.

Cushings Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction

A disfunction of the pituitary gland that results in hormonal imbalances causing a variety of clinical signs. Address the full body and focus on the poll or behind the TMJ for an additional 3-5 minutes at a low intensity. Address an additional 3-5 minutes over both kidneys. Treatment should be ongoing.

Equine Back Pain

Full body sessions with a concentration for 6-8 minutes on affected area for an additional 4 minutes each. Multiple sessions within a close time frame may be required for best results. Maintenance sessions should be considered.

Coffin Joint Synovitis

Treat affected hoof for 8-10 minutes on as high a setting as the horse will tolerate. Treat as often as possible until condition improves, 2x’s per day 6 hours apart if possible.

Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD)

Address the whole body while spending an additional 3-5 minutes in the area of indication. Magnawave can not reverse but can significantly slow the process and provide some relief in the surrounding soft tissues. Utilize 3-4 times per week until condition improves and then a maintenance regimen is needed.

Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM)

Start addressing 1 week after the medication cycle is complete, some horses can have sessions while meds are administered but each horse is different. In this circumstance, the horse can seem worse before better, therefore a commitment to treatment is important. The full body should be addressed 2x per week for ideal results focusing on sensitive areas an additional 2-3 minutes. Maintenance sessions should be considered.

Colic

Focus on the abdomen and large colon area at the highest setting the horse will tolerate for longer lengths of time than a normal body session. Using the machine for the entire episode is fine as the goal is to stimulate the bowel - this only works for impaction, not flipped gut.

Degenerative Suspensory Ligament Desmitis (DSLD)

A systemic disease of the connective tissue. This degenerative bilateral condition results from faulty healing of the suspensory ligament causing thickening and hardening of the ligament and its branches. Address 3x per week for 8-10 minutes in the affected area. Address the whole body once per week.

Equine Spinal Inflammation

Full body sessions addressing the spine coupled with light therapy along the spinal column.
